I have a crochet pattern for you today! That’s right, folks, my first crochet pattern. It’s a really simple pattern and can be finished in no time at all. It should fit most, but feel free to adjust it if the sizing is a bit off for you.
Crochet Ear Warmer Headband Pattern
Please note: I worked this pattern using a J size crochet hook and two strands of regular yarn. Feel free to make as many headbands as you like for personal use. If you sell/display this headband please credit me for pattern. Thank you!
half double crochet in the 65th chain (thrid chain from the hook).
half double crochet in each chain stitch until you reach the end.
**Chain 2, and turn.
half double crochet in each stictch until you reach the end
repeat from ** until you have 10 rows.
Fasten off and leave a generous tail to weave in.
Fold over to create a “headband” and overlap approx. 6 stitches, using your tail to stitch the headband together until you feel confident it won’t go anywhere (or you’ve run out of tail).
Weave in ends.
Chain 3 and join, creating a circle (or ring).
12 double crochet into the circle (or ring).
Join. leaving a generous tail.
Using tail stitch “buttons” onto headband in desired location.
For added “button” detail stitch an “X” on the center of “button” in contrasting color.
I hope you enjoy your headband. I’d love to see any headbands made using my pattern, and as always your comments are appreciated!
